Happy Snaps
This & That

Though I know this quote is a tad mawkish, I can't help but love it and whenever I read it, it brings tears to my eyes, as I can see all my beloved animals waiting there at the Bridge for me!

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver.
Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together …

And My UK Pets

1996 - 2005

MICHELLE'S Mr Quilt (Tigger) did not enjoy living with a whole lot of hormonal queens and kittens and took to living inside one of my husband's canoes in the garden, poor boy. So after much heart searching, because to me "pets ARE for life" I found him via my vet a very nice new home into which he walked and immediately made himself at home. "Peace! King-Pin again!" he must have thought as he settled down on his new owner's lap

My beautiful Pasha, (Champion CWMKATZ Apassionata Cameo) died suddenly after a massive internal bleed. Such a gap she has left. Wait for me, my Darling Girl, with all the others, at the Bridge

My dearest South African Chocolate Point, HOLMACRES Zak, (named after Zechariah, the little man who climbed a tree to see Jesus pass by) because he spent his first weeks with us at the top of my curtains improving his climbing skills, was put quietly to sleep in my arms when Cancer got the better of him. Sleep sweetly old Boy!

My gentle Fleur (METEXA Fleurdelune) died suddenly after the birth of five kittens. Such a gentle girl; a wonderful mother, grandmother and a caring aunty. What a big hole she has left in our family.

My most precious Izadora (Premier CHEZS Sweet Izadora) departed for the Rainbow Bridge in the early hours of a bank holiday Monday morning after a long battle with kidney failure. Oh sweet girl, how much I miss you and your funny little ways, unique to you. I can still hear your voice piping in a most un-Oriental fashion, calling me, talking to me, just commenting on life in general. I still expect to see you curled up on top of the boiler in the kitchen and most of all, I still miss most dreadfully the prickle of your whiskers on my arm and chin as you curled up with me every night. Wait happily for me, my darling girl. We'll meet again one day.

I am so sad. My Champion CWMKATZ Cameo-BellaDonna died of a ruptured  uterus and along with four of her six kitz twelve hours after a Caesarean Section. Only two little scraps survived this trauma
